How to find your brand’s ikigai

Propelled between a profession, vocation, mission, and passion, there lies your sense of ikigai. What you love, what you are good at, what you can be paid for and what the world needs extend to that meaning of purpose, your reason for being. It might sound complicated, but it really is not. Ikigai means working from the heart.

If we see our brands as a person, with its own personality, we can also transfer that symbolism to the brand personality. Brand (or your business) can also find it’s own ikigai. It can be done through brand strategy.

A brand strategy that will define a brand personality’s purpose, mission, vocation, passion and in between it all, a little something called ikigai. Something that makes a brand familiar, relatable, trustworthy, a friend.

“We want to change the equation to – in exchange for this dollar, I not only get these goods, I get a completely transparent look at how you behave and how you created this product. I also get a complete and transparent look at what you believe politically. If you don’t want to do that, I’ll take my dollar elsewhere.”

Make your brands more human, find their ikigai.
